The Beef Cattle Research Council (BCRC) is committed to delivering timely and relevant science-based information to support profitability and sustainability in the Canadian beef industry.
The veterinary industry supports the beef sector both directly, through medical procedures and access to medications and vaccinations, and as a key partner in herd health and management decision-making. Today, veterinary teams play a central role in helping beef producers address animal health, welfare, production and sustainability challenges. Recognizing this, we continually develop educational materials and decision-making tools for both producers and veterinary teams.
Access to the BCRC’s webinars for beef producers and vet teams is available through live and recorded events. These presentations can be shared widely and used for in-clinic staff education and team building, as well as for producer meetings and client education. Sharing BCRC resources is not only allowed, but encouraged.
Several BCRC webinars are approved for one continuing education (CE) credit each for RVTs across Canada. DVM credit is available in select provinces.

- Watch the full webinar recording.
- Complete the corresponding quiz located in the webinar description.
- Complete the quiz scoring >80%.
- Then, your CE credit will arrive shortly via email.

Question? Solution Are all BCRC webinars eligible for CE credit? No, always check for the banner on the webinar title page, or check our CE playlist on YouTube. Are the CE credits applicable to all veterinary professionals in my area? Even though the BCRC has done its best to meet the highest requirements and standards for online education, the CE requirements are different in every province and territory and are different between professional designations. To ensure the BCRC continuing education is eligible in your area for your profession, please contact your governing body. Do I need to complete a quiz if I watched the live event? No, if you subscribed as an RVT or veterinarian and watched the live recording, you will be automatically sent a certificate of completion. Be sure to subscribe to the webinar as an RVT or veterinarian.
I watched a recording; how do I complete the quiz? Look in the webinar description under the YouTube video for the link to the quiz. You must achieve a score of 80% or greater to pass. Why did I not receive my certificate? – Ensure you subscribed as an RVT or veterinarian. – If you attended the live webinar, did you watch the entire webinar? If you log off early or do not watch the entire webinar, you are not eligible for a certificate.
– Do not use abbreviations when filling in information on your subscription information.
– Do not unsubscribe from BCRC emails after signing up for webinars. You must be registered as a subscriber for the system to send you your certificate.
– Do not make repeated attempts to pass a quiz sequentially. If you do, the system interprets your results as spam and will block the BCRC from sending you anything. The quizzes are designed to ensure that the entire webinar is watched before the quiz is taken. Attempts made to bypass watching the webinar and repeatedly challenging the quiz will result in you being ineligible to receive credits.
– Check your spam folder! The certificate comes in the body of an email, not as an attachment.
How do I print my certificate? Save the email as a PDF and then print. Or alternatively, you can screenshot the certificate and paste it into a different document.
