Its priority research and extension objectives and outcomes are established through a comprehensive stakeholder engagement process, as outlined in the Canadian Beef Research & Knowledge Mobilization Strategy.

Cluster Project Proposals
The call for letters of intent is now open with the deadline for submissions September 28, 2026 at 11:59 PM MT.
Confirmation of receipt will be sent for every letter of intent submitted. If confirmation is not received within one business day of your submission, the BCRC has not received the documents.

- A webinar will be hosted by the BCRC on August 5, 2026, from 10 AM – 12 PM MT, to provide further explanation, project examples and a Q&A session around the target outcomes and priorities for this call. We encourage researchers and others to attend if you are considering submitting an LOI.

General Submission Information

- Any individual or organization (academic institution, private industry, government or non-government organization) from Canada or elsewhere with ability and/or a track record of success in carrying out projects in areas relevant to the Canadian beef industry is eligible to apply when a call for projects is open.
- Ensure you have read and followed the Instructions and Guidelines document prior to submitting a letter of intent or project proposal.
- Consider these five tips for improving your letter of intent to make your LOI stand out.
