Logo Guidelines and Terms of Use

Overview

The BCRC Logo (herein referred to as “the Logo”) represents the Beef Cattle Research Council (BCRC), a division of the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association (CCA), that manages the research allocation of the Canadian Beef Cattle Check-Off.  It is vital that the Logo be presented properly in order to accurately represent the BCRC and build positive recognition among Canadian beef cattle industry stakeholders.

These guidelines apply to all uses of the identity to ensure consistency across all media applications. The integrity of the brand identity must be respected to ensure readability and consistency.

Logo Options

Two versions of the BCRC Logo exist.  The version with black text is typically used.

Conditions for Use of Logo

The Logo may only be used with explicit consent from the BCRC. Contact info@beefresearch.ca to request permission.

(Exception: Researchers are encouraged to display the BCRC logo within the context of giving appropriate credit for funding support by the BCRC. For example, the BCRC logo may be included on a presentation slide or research poster under the heading “Funding for this research provided by:” without pre-approval from the BCRC.)

The Logo is the exclusive property of the BCRC, a division of the CCA.  As such, the BCRC owns all right, title and interest in the Logo, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, moral rights, and otherwise, as applicable.

The Logo may not be used in any manner that might imply that any non-CCA or non-BCRC materials, including but not limited to goods, services, websites, or publications are sponsored, endorsed, licensed by, or affiliated with the CCA or BCRC.

The Logo consists of the maple leaf with swoosh and the BCRC Beef Cattle Research Council logotype in Trajan Pro font. The elements should not be altered in any way, nor used separately. Alteration and distortion includes, but is not limited to, changes in the colour, proportion, or design, or removal of any words, artwork, or trademark symbols.

The Logo should always be reproduced on a white or light coloured background whenever possible.

The Logo should be reproduced in four-colour.  Printing in grayscale is permissible when colour print is unavailable.

The logo should not be reproduced at smaller than the minimum acceptable size of 1.0 inch/25 mm width and must only appear in horizontal position.
